Seth Dotson Memorial Art Scholarship Endowment

Seth Dotson grew up in Powell, WY, and graduated from Powell High School. His father, Claude Dotson, taught Business at Northwest College.
Seth attended Northwest College and received an Associate of Arts Degree in May 2000. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art for the University of Idaho, graduating Magna Cum Laude in May 2002.
Sadly, Seth lost his life in a car accident while driving to the University of Arizona for his graduate studies in art.

Seth’s parents, Claude and Janice Dotson funded this scholarship to help other artists realize their dreams. Janice Augmented the scholarship in 2018 to honor Claude, who was killed in a motorcycle accident.
Seth wrote in his artist statement, “To me, art is a visual expression of a feeling or thought, a culmination of a series of momentary flashes of inspiration organized into a personal yet communicable representation.”
