Roland A. (Jake) Jacob Memorial Agricultural Scholarship
In honor of her late husband, Amy R. Jacob decided to start a scholarship to help Ag students who may not have been able to attend college without financial help. Her husband, “Jake”, put himself through college to complete his animal husbandry degree. The college education served him good stead in his work with farmers, especially during sugar beet cultivation. Jacob’s husband had a successful career as an agriculturalist with Great Western Sugar Company before succumbing to illness.
“With modern technology in the agricultural world, experiments, meeting food shortages, helping in countries outside the U.S., agricultural majors have untold opportunities before them,” explains Amy who is glad to help their potential.
