Robert W. Frisby Scholarship
As part of America’s “Greatest Generation,” Bob Frisby was dedicated to his community, his state, and his nation. He served with distinction in World War II and was the first reservist called up from Park County when the Korean War broke out. Following his military service, he returned home to Cody and his beloved wife and family. He pursued various career interests, eventually retiring after 20 years in banking. He worked tirelessly to expand the NWC district to include all of Park County and then served on the expanded district’s Board of Trustees for three years. He then represented Park County as State Senator for 18 years and led the way on numerous landmark policy decisions including assisting in the creation of the Hathaway Scholarship Endowment. NWC’s Social Science Building was named in his honor in 1987. In the 1990s Bob endowed two named scholarships at Northwest to help young people achieve their dreams and make the world a better place.
