R.A. and Elsie Nelson Music Scholarship

The namesake of the Nelson Performing Arts Center, R.A. Nelson is known for many things at Northwest College. He was the founder and first president of the Northwest College Foundation. His unsolicited gift of stock started the endowment program that has supported the college since 1966. The list of R.A.’s influence at NWC goes on and on, but the Music Department considers his grandest contribution of all . . . the gift of the grand piano.  The concert music that lofts from this building is carried on a lilt of ebony and ivory generosity.
