Opal Jones Memorial Allied Healthcare Professionals Scholarship Endowment

Opal Jones and her husband, Earl, farmed in the Powell area at the inception of their marriage in 1940. After her children were nearly raised, she began employment with Dr. Lyle Haberland and enjoyed emplyment with him for nearly 30 years until her retirement.
As a gesture to honor Opal’s memory, Dr. Haberland endowed a scholarship to be awarded to a student with a medical major in any field.
