John and Nancy Bonner Memorial Music Scholarship
A mild-mannered Powell store owner by day, John Bonner became the “music man” at night, playing his organ every evening at home. From accompanying Rotary Club songs at weekly meetings to delighting his grandchildren with pop tunes and oldies, John gifted everyone in his world with the magic of music. His family funded this memorial scholarship to ensure his love of music would continue generating magic for students. John’s wife, Nancy, shared his love of music, whether it was listening to him play or attending concerts together. Upon her death, the family added her memorial gifts to the endowment as a way of keeping them in concert together forever.
