Jim and Judy Vogt Women's Athletic Scholarship

Jim and Judy Vogt have left a lasting legacy at Northwest College through their commitment to students, athletics and education. Established in 2004, this athletic scholarship was created to help female athletes pursue a quality, affordable education while competing in intercollegiate athletics at NWC.

Jim and Judy devoted much of their lives to Northwest College and Powell. They moved to Powell in 1967 as Jim was hired to become the first Director and Bookstore Manager of the NWC Student Center. During his 30-year career at Northwest College, he served as a student advocate, advisor, coach, and mentor. Even after retirement, he remained deeply involved with the college, serving on the Board of Trustees for 11 years and earning Wyoming Trustee of the Year in 2010.

As passionate supporters of Trapper athletics, Jim and Judy could often be found in the stands cheering on Northwest College teams. They were especially proud of helping bring women’s soccer to campus and believed strongly in the value of athletics as a pathway to educational success. Together, Jim and Judy established this scholarship endowment to support future generations of women student athletes.

This scholarship provides assistance to full time female student athletes participating in athletics with preference given to members of the women’s basketball and volleyball programs. Recipients are required to maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA.
