George and Janice Armour Memorial Scholarship
The value of education was a cornerstone of George and Janice Armour’s life. Both college graduates, George taught English at Lovell High School and Janice was a library aide. George and Janice appreciated having NWC handy and attended plays and concerts when possible As a result, George and Janice instilled the belief in their children that a successful life requires education and training beyond high school. The children of George and Janice Armour established a scholarship to honor their parents because education and NWC were very important to them. NWC was also served many LHS graduates due to its proximity. When an education can be acquired close to home, there is a much greater chance that the person will remain in the local community and help it prosper. When a variety of financial aid and reasonable expenses are combined, it’s a win/win/win situation for student, college, and community.
