Ethan Asher Athletic Scholarship Endowment

When Andy and Tiffani Asher established this scholarship endowment at NWC, they wanted to create a lasting legacy for their son. One that reflects the determination, resilience and passion Ethan has demonstrated throughout his remarkable journey.

Ethan’s life changed forever in August 2019, when he was seriously injured in a truck accident just west of Powell during his senior year at Powell High School. The accident left him paraplegic and facing challenges that few could have imagined.

Through years of physical therapy, Ethan has made significant progress. He remained deeply involved in the community of Powell, including an assistant coaching position with the high school football team. Football and athletics have remained an important part of Ethan’s life. He took another important step in his journey by continuing his education at Northwest College.

Ethan’s story is one of faith, perseverance and the power of a community coming together. His parents hope the scholarship bearing his name will provide opportunities for Northwest College student athletes while honoring the strength and determination Ethan has shown.

This scholarship provides support for full-time students participating in intercollegiate athletics at NWC. Recipients must also meet the academic requirements established by the college and their respective athletic programs.

For Ethan, the journey continues and now, through this scholarship, his determination can help others move forward too.
