Cole Schanz Memorial Music Technology Scholarship Endowment

Cole Schanz was a musical artist and like many artists, was with us for too short a time. As a gesture of support to his parents, the Breakfast Exchange Club in Billings, Mont., endowed a scholarship in honor of Cole. To keep his memory alive, every year in Oregon on Cole’s birthday, his old NWC roommate (now a professional brewer) taps a specially designed beer to remember Cole and raise money for the endowment. NWC faculty were a big influence on Cole, and now his memory is influencing today’s students.
