Chris & Madi Cooley Athletic Scholarship Endowment
Chris Cooley spent the first 10 years of his life in Powell before moving to Logan, Utah, where he’d eventually play college football at Utah State. He then went on to play nine seasons in the NFL finishing his career as Washington’s all-time leader in receptions by a tight end. In 2011, Chris and Madi met and from the beginning made it clear that one day they would settle down in Wyoming. Madi, who lived in Virginia her entire life before moving, but her view quickly changed. They immediately became immersed in the community and Northwest College. Chris became a volunteer coach for the NWC wrestling program and the couple wanted to find a way to make an impact on others as they settled into the area. In 2022, Chris and Madi created an athletic scholarship endowment for full-time students participating in intercollegiate athletics as members of one of NWC’s teams.
