Chet and Joy Lindsay Memorial Scholarship
The Chet and Joy Lindsay Memorial Scholarship was created out of love for two remarkable individuals who, despite their intelligence and talent, couldn’t fully pursue their educational dreams due to financial barriers. Chet and Joy Lindsay were bright and gifted, each with potential that could have taken them far. Chet was known for his inventive mind and practical skills, while Joy had a passion for learning and curiosity about the world. However, life’s circumstances prevented them from continuing their education beyond high school.
Despite these challenges, Chet and Joy built a life of resilience, creativity, and love for their family. Their legacy lives on through their children, who witnessed their parents’ brilliance firsthand. To honor their memory, the Lindsay children established the Chet and Joy Lindsay Memorial Scholarship, giving graduating seniors from Lovell High School the opportunity their parents never had: a chance to realize their full potential, whether through college or trade school.
This scholarship is designed to support students on any educational path, recognizing that success comes in many forms. Whether recipients choose a traditional college route or attend trade school, the scholarship exists to help remove the financial obstacles that may stand in their way. The Lindsay family hopes to extend Chet and Joy’s legacy by ensuring today’s students can pursue their dreams without fear of financial limitation, confident that their next steps are possible.
