Burrus/Two Dot Ranch Scholarship Fund

Burrus/Two Dot Ranch Scholarship Fund

Originally a stagecoach stop, today the Two Dot Ranch operates as a large Angus cattle ranch along the scenic Chief Joseph Highway east of Cody. The ranch was owned by Yves Burrus, an international banker from Geneva, Switzerland in the late 1900s. After a successful financial career, Mr. Burrus turned his attention to humanitarian and charitable organizations. He funded the Burrus/Two Dot Ranch Scholarship to help students enrolled at the local college continue their studies.
“My aim is to push education at Northwest College and give young people an opportunity to achieve good studies and then a good life,” noted Mr. Burrus. His hope is that scholarship recipients will one day be able to help someone else in the same way.
He added: “A life is only valid if we share the benefits we receive with ones who are less gifted or those who are in need.”
