Bud and Mary Linton Soccer Scholarship

Bud and Mary Linton have been to their share of soccer games through the years to watch their grandson, Tyler, play. He grew up with the game of soccer and participated in youth leagues. As a high school student in Billings, Mont., Tyler played four years of competitive soccer as a goalie and really liked the sport.
When Northwest College added soccer to its NJCAA Region 9 athletic program, the Lintons saw an opportunity to contribute to an athletic scholarship that would benefit another soccer player.
It was the positive experience of their grandson that drew their attention to NWC soccer.
Bud is a former member of the NWC Board of Trustees, where he served six years. A longtime donor to the college, he has been a member of the NWC Foundation Board for 28 years.
“Northwest College is a sound institution,” Bud affirmed. “I really think a lot of NWC. We always wanted to try to help the college in any way.”
