Ann D. Stoddard Scholarship Endowment

The Ann Deitrich Stoddard Scholarship was funded in 2004 by her children (two of whom live in Park County) to honor Ann’s love of children, her generosity, and her understanding of the value of education.
Ann was born in Lansing Michigan, the only child of Dorothea Bennett and Ralph Lawrence Hagameir. She graduated from East Lansing High School in 1955 and attended Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri. She married Stanford Creer Stoddard in 1958, and raised her family in Birmingham, Michigan, where she lived until her death in 2001.
Ann is remembered as a loving mother who always had time for her children and grandchildren. She was generous and helped those around her whenever the opportunity presented itself. “Ann would be pleased that this scholarship bears her name, and that her family chose to honor her by creating a scholarship that provides opportunities in education for Latter Day Saint students at Northwest College.” The family hopes that the students benefiting from this opportunity will remember to contribute to similar programs in the future when they are in a position to do so. In this way, students can help continue Ann’s lasting legacy of generosity, encouragement, and creating a path to educational opportunity.
