Andy Anderson Accounting Scholarship Endowment

W. Glen “Andy” Anderson moved to Powell as a 4-year-old and made it his home for the rest of his life, though periods of professional life took him to other stations.

After graduating from high school in 1941, he enlisted in the Air Force and served in World War II. Following honorable discharge, he earned a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from UW. He worked for the IRS and a couple of oil companies until purchasing an accounting business in Powell in 1963 that he operated until retirement in 1985.

Andy’s wife, Donna, was his partner in business as the office manager and in life. They had three children, Rick, Curt and Roxanne. He was also active in the community through the American Legion Post 26, the Fraternal Order of Eagles, and as a charter member and exalted ruler of the local Elks Lodge.

This scholarship supports sophomore students majoring in business or accounting with a 3.0 GPA in his memory.
