Al and Lydia 'Tiddle' Fryer Endowed Scholarship

The dedication of Mr. and Mrs. A.R. Fryer to Northwest College is remembered through this scholarship, funded by memorial gifts and their family. The Fryers believed in the importance of education and worked to support Northwest College from its beginning. As an active member of the Powell School Board, Al Fryer was instrumental in the negotiations that established Northwest. He later served on the Northwest College Board of Trustees and guided the college in its early years of growth. Al and Tiddle owned Fryer’s Pharmacy in Powell and were active supporters of the NWC Foundation and original “$500 Club” donors – giving $100 per year for 5 years.

Their scholarship supports sophomore students at NWC who are Powell High School graduates.
