Andy and Brenda Nelson Athletic Scholarship Endowment

R.A. Nelson, the grandfather of Andy, provided the catalyst to establish the NWC Foundation with a gift of Polaroid stock. Brenda and Andy wanted to continue with this family tradition of giving in support of NWC students with a scholarship of their own. Both Andy and Brenda are passionate about athletics and decided an athletic scholarship was a good fit. As a fourth-generation banker, the Nelson family has ties back to the beginning of NWC and the Foundation. Andy and Brenda also believe that the college provides a great place for students to be educated and to have the opportunity to participate in athletics as well. They value higher education and are pleased to help by providing financial support. This scholarship fund was established to help provide quality, affordable education for full-time students participating in intercollegiate athletics as member of one of Northwest College’s teams.
